Iphone Notes Search Not Working

by -218 views

This sounds similar an issue with indexing on the service side, I would suggest opening a back up ticket to run into if that can be helped.

Hello Scott, If you’re receiving unexpected results when yous’re searching on your Mac, rebuilding the Spotlight index may help. Rebuild the Spotlight index 1. Choose Apple carte du jour  > Arrangement Preferences, and so click Spotlight. 2. Click the Privacy tab. 3. Drag the disk or folder that yous want to re-alphabetize to the list of locations that Spotlight is prevented from searching in. Or click the add button (+) and select the disk or folder to add. >>> You can only add an item to the Privacy tab if yous accept ownership permissions for that particular. To notice out more most permissions, cull Assist from the Finder menu bar, so search for “permissions”. iv. From the same list of locations, select the disk or binder that yous’ve just added. Then click the remove push (–) to remove it from the list. 5. Quit System Preferences. Spotlight will re-index the contents of the disk or folder. This tin can take some fourth dimension, depending on the amount of information that is being indexed. Follow the procedure to a higher place on how to reindex your spotlight Give back to the Community. Help the next person who has this issue past indicating if this reply solved your trouble. Institute THIS WORKAROUND ON ANOTHER THREAD

I noticed that OneDrive’s search was still able to discover newly created files, besides every bit any files that I had moved or renamed. It couldn’t detect any of my other files, however.

So, I tricked OneDrive into reindexing my files by effectively moving ALL of them (and then moving them back).

Hither’southward what I did:

  1. Created a new folder named ALL in my OneDrive directory.

  2. Moved all of my other directories into the ALL folder.

  3. Waited a few minutes, and then tried searching for various files using my iPad’southward OneDrive app.

  4. One time it was articulate that all of my files and directories were searchable, I moved everything back out of the ALL folder and into the chief OneDrive folder.

  5. OneDrive’s search function now seems to work usually for me.

So, they know? Its Nov ’22. Aforementioned issue. OneDrive is nigh without value now, considering the low cost of functional alternatives. I’ve loved OneDrive. Sad to see it fail so spectacularly and enduringly.
