Rx 580 Still Good For Mining.

The RX 580 8GB has been iconic in the mining world for many years, so yeah, it a good card. Mine does around 1.4 USD in 24 hrs after tunning it a bit in MSI Afterburner, so please do ask anyone about it if you are interested. Now that I put it into Compute mode, it’s working so much better.

I found a used RX 580 Nitro+ 4GB card ,it was used for mining for about 8-10 months, fan speed at 50% , the temps were never over 65-70°C. The bios is unchanged. It’s a reputable seller so it should be true, he had about 60 GPU’s so he probably knows how to mine. The card still has about 11 months warranty from the electronic shop he bought it

For the sake of comparison, the GTX 1070 from Nvidia produces the same performance while mining Ethash. The GTX 1070 is at least $200 more expensive than the AMD RX 580.

The short answer is, yes, probably. With an AMD RX 580 you should be able to mine Etherium or Etherium classic for profit, depending upon your electric rate. There are a few things to consider. If you are living in a tiny dorm, having your computer hashing away 24/7 is going to produce heat and noise.
